The Hong Kong

Impact Data Consortium Chain

SZC Launches IDCC

Hong Kong's Data Commons

After two solid years of working closely in conjunction with 11 of Hong Kong's most prominent impact intermediaries and bringing the support of the Hong Kong Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund, we are so proud to announce the launch the Impact Data Consortium Chain, Hong Kong's first-ever civic data infrastructure based on blockchain to serve its social services community and enhancing social innovation in order to fight against poverty and social exclusion.

The goal of the commission is to empower the Hong Kong social impact ecosystem by safeguarding its future of data governance to improve professional practice, operational efficiency, and unlock capital flow through promoting ubiquitously robust data-driven workflow, insights, and decision-making for the entire impact community.

IDCC + SZC

Shanzhai City will provide support to IDCC by helping to design and build the digital platform based on the on ixo blockchain protocol custom fitted to work with Hong Kong’s social service sector to audit impact, share data, cross reference impact while protecting data self-sovereignty of individual users and organizations, as well as hosting the Impact Capacity Building (ICB) program to empower agencies with digitally-enhanced workflows for impact management on the IDCC platform.

With IDCC, we aspire to contribute towards the advancement of a totally new framework for impact management with more decentralized and participatory frontline impact validation, micro-services, and verifiable data flow that dramatically improves the resolution, accuracy and accountability of impact measurement in order to help accelerate meaningful innovation, responsive policy-making, and precision investment not just for Hong Kong, but for Southeast Asia as well as the entire global impact industry.

If you or your organization are interested in contributing tools, resources, or knowledge to the platform, or would like to learn more about how to launch an IDCC in your part of the world, please contact us!  We are happy to share and share alike!
